Are You Aware That You Are Truly Blessed in Many Different Ways

The print and electronic media pour out a diatribe of information about how the rest of the world hates America. The vocal minority and religious zealots overpower the admiration and affection of the majority of citizens in the rest of the world. Here are some thoughts that may help keep it all in this perspective.

“If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than millions who won’t survive this week.”
“If you never experience the danger of the battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pains of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.”
“If you attend a church meeting without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people around the world.”
“If you have money in the bank, in your wallet and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.”
“If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.”
“If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read anything at all.”
“You are blessed in so many ways you may never know.”

We are blessed! Please don’t let negativism distort the way that we react to our fellow man around the globe and here at home.
