Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club President Ray Knowis (left), assisted District Governor Carol LaRue (right) presents the Governor’s Cup to the winning team from the Hamilton Place Club in Chattanooga.  The District 6780 Golf Tournament was played recently at Rarity Bay in Vonore, TN. Receiving the Governor’s Cup is team member, Steven Holley.  The other team members included Billy Weathers (center) and next to him, Dave Gardner.  Team member Topper Gardenhire was not present for the presentation.  The Governor’s Cup is sponsored by the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club and is awarded to the Rotary Club golf team with the lowest score at the annual District Golf Tournament.  To be eligible to win the team must be comprised of all Rotarians and be from the same club. Handicaps are not allowed in the competition for the Governor’s Cup. Congratulations to the Hamilton Place team for winning the Cup twice in the past three years.

“Since the beginning of civilization, there has been a surplus of sayers of things. If there is any one particular in which I would have Rotary distinguished from other organizations, it is in the quality of character, which results in the doing of things.”
